Polyethylene is a transparent polymer that easily changes its characteristics at high temperatures. Ethylene gas is used to produce polyethylene granules to make various raw materials subsequently.
Polyethylene can be easily recycled, is modifiable and can be improved by mixing with other substances. This material poorly conducts electric charges, gases and vapors, but it tolerates moisture and low temperatures perfectly. It is also in great demand due to its impact resistance and lack of smell. The disadvantage of polyethylene is rapid aging, but this process can be slowed down using special additives. Due to its properties, polyethylene is widely used as a raw material in various industries. Packaging materials, pipes, containers, construction materials and various parts, as well as fibers, are made from polyethylene.
